“Sometimes I wish I could exist in an eternal moment, simply content without the need to move forward.”
It’s a longing to escape the ceaseless rhythm of everyday life, to find a place or a feeling where time pauses—a state of mind we could inhabit over and over, holding onto it before it slips away into memory.
These photographs, taken during my residency in Sardinia, are less about the place itself and more about capturing this state of mind. They reflect a fleeting suspension from worry, a quiet sense of inner peace and acceptance of simply being here, right now. It’s not like a holiday, where even relaxation feels like something we must achieve within a set time. Instead, it’s a moment of calm, a release from the everyday.
And yet, in the background, harsh reality is always lurking, ready to return. But for a brief time, in this captured moment, we can let go.
